Remote from another product controls Bose system
If a remote other than your Bose remote is unexpectedly controlling your system, try the following:
If the other remote is programmable, try clearing and then reprogramming it.
If the other remote is a learning or universal remote, it may have been previously programmed to control your system. Try clearing that remote and then reprogramming it only for the devices you want it to control.
If you are not using a third-party remote to control your system, turn off IR Control in the system menu.
When IR Control is on, your system console will not sent IR commands to other devices. To turn the IR Control setting off:
- On your remote, press the System button
Tip: If the system menu does not appear on the TV, be sure the correct TV input is selected - Scroll right to select Remote Control icon
- Scroll down to select IR Control, then press the Enter button
- Scroll up to down to select Off, then press the Enter button
- Press the Exit button to exit the menu.
Change the house code setting.
Another Lifestyle system with the same house code may be located within range of your system. The nearby users may inadvertently control your system. Individualize your system by changing the house code settings. To change house code settings, see Changing house code settings.
