Changing and using Sound settings

Sound settings in your system help optimize audio for the content you play. Learn which settings are available and applicable to your setup.

To select a Sound setting:

A different Sound setting can be set for each connected device. (Note: All options may not be available for every device.)
  1. On the remote control, press the More button
Tip: If the system menu does not appear on your TV, be sure the correct TV input is selected
  2. Scroll right to select Options, then press the OK button
  3. Scroll up or down to select [Source] Sound
  4. Scroll left of right to select a setting:
    1. Original plays stereo audio when stereo audio is received
    2. Recommended applies the recommended audio processing based on the audio received. For example, 2-speaker stereo audio is processed for 5-speaker playback
    3. Alternative applies the opposite processing of Recommended. For example, video sound processing is applied to audio-only sound; audio-only processing is applied to video sound
    4. Enhanced Mono processes 1-speaker mono sound for 5-speaker playback
  5. Press Exit to exit the menu.
