"Reading" message displayed indefinitely

If you cannot clear the "Reading" message from your display screen, try the following:

Be sure you are giving the system enough time to read the disc.

The disc player can take up to 70 seconds to read the table of contents of the DVD, depending on the condition and type of the disc. "Reading" will be displayed on VFD during this time.

See if the same message appears when playing CDs.

If neither CDs nor DVDs play in your system, there may be an issue with the disc drive.

Check if the disc works in a different disc player.

If available, try playing the disc in a different disc player. If the same issue occurs, the issue is with the disc.

Reset your media center
