Connecting headphones to your system

You can connect headphones to your system for situations when low volume listening is needed. This can be useful, for example, to listen to audio at night without disturbing others in your home with the sound from your speakers.

Connecting headphones to a Wave radio/CD.

  • The radio does not have a dedicated headphone jack, and Bose is unable to supply or recommend a particular headphone booster/amplifier.
  • A headphone amplifier can be connected to the Line Out jacks on the back of the radio provided it has an RCA input, power (to amplify the signal), a headphone output, and volume control.
  • Connecting to the Line Out jacks does not turn off the speakers. The adjustment of the radio's volume level does not affect the signal level of the Line Out jacks.
