Using composite or S-video cable
You can connect video to your system and TV using Composite or S-video cables: Composite is more common and, comparitively, S-video provides better image quality.
To use a Composite/S-Video, follow these steps:
- Connect the Composite or S-Video cable to the appropriate video output jacks on the media center connection panel
- Connect the Composite or S-Video cable to the appropriate video input jacks on the TV
- Turn the Lifestyle System off
- Press and hold the Enter button on the media center control panel
- While holding the Enter button, press the Store button on the media center control panel until "Video:" appears on the display
- Continue to hold the Enter button and press the Volume up button until "Video: NTSC Composite + S-Video" appears on the display. When the desired choice appears, release the Enter button
- Turn the Lifestyle System on and select the CBL-SAT sound source
- Make sure the TV is on with the correct input selected
- Press the System button on the remote
- Press the right arrow until "Video" is selected. Press the Enter button
- Press the down arrow until "Video Connector" is selected. Press the Enter button
- Press the down arrow to select "Composite + S-Video", and press the Enter button
- Press the Exit button to leave the menu
