Using Mono Decoding
Mono audio (sound that was created for one speaker) can be intelligently played through the multiple speakers on your system by enabling Mono Decoding. Turn this on if you have mono content that you'd like to hear through all of your system speakers.
Changing the Mono Decoding settings.
Before the Mono Decoding setting can viewed or changed, the Audio Processing settings in the System menu must be set to “User Adjustable.” For information on how to change the Audio Processing settings, see Changing Audio Processing settings. When you have changed the Audio Processing settings to "User Adjustable," change the Mono Decoding setting by following these steps:
- Select a source that allows Mono Decoding to be adjusted: DVD, AUX, TV, CBL-SAT or VCR
- Press the Settings button on the remote
- Press the down arrow to scroll to "Mono Decoding"
- Press the right arrow, and then the up or down arrow, to switch from "Off" to "On"
